The Sault Ste. Marie Soup Kitchen was the recipient of several hundred pounds of non-perishable food items. Every year Club Calabrese of Sault Ste. Marie selects an organization that supports the needs of people in our community who may not have the means necessary to meet their daily food requirements. Club members are requested to bring in food items and they are always very generous. This year was no exception. In the past, Club Calabrese has supported St. Vincent de Paul, Women in Crisis and both Sault College and Algoma University.Club Calabrese is a non-profit, charitable and social Club and one of its main objectives is to offer assistance to the needy, the sick, and the distressed, spiritually or materially, or both.
