Local Author Pens New Novel


Inverness Skies, is the second novel from local author Cheryl Alleway a sequel to her first novel, Of Blade and Valor.

Inverness-SkiesAlleway told the story of a Scottish medieval tale of one girl as she becomes a young woman of survival. Now in the sequel Inverness Skies, she comes of age on the harsh Scottish moors.

The community is invited to a book signing and fundraiser Saturday, November 15 at the Harmony St. Marks United Church in Richard’s Landing, St. Joseph Island from 1 to 5pm.

The new novel runs $25.00 each with $5.00 from the sale of every book going to the Cancer Society. A few copies of her first novel ‘Of Blade and Valor’ will also be on hand for $15.00 each – $5.00 from the sale of which will also go to the Cancer Society.

The afternoon event will also feature Door prizes, refreshments and a donation jar will also be at the event for anyone visiting. Come out, meet the author, help the Cancer Society in honour of Cheryl’s mother Shirley Jones and those loved ones who have passed from Cancer. Friends, family, books and hope will await everyone.
