Two Arrested In Wellington Street Shooting

On Wednesday October 22nd at 8:05pm Police responded to a call of a shooting at 28-B Wellington Street East, Sault Ste. Marie.

As a result of this incident an adult male was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

On the 6th of November, 2014 officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Investigation Services attended the Algoma Remand and Treatment Centre and charged two males in relation to this incident.

20-year old Daved Nadon of 20 Cunningham Street, Bruce Mines has been charged with Attempt Murder use of firearm.

30-year old Michael Bjornaa of no fixed address has been charged with Attempt Murder use of firearm.

Police continue to investigate this crime, and are still seeking the identification of a third male suspect.  Police request that any member of the public having information on this crime please contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at (705) 949-6300

On the 6th of November, 2014 officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Investigation Services attended the Algoma Remand and Treatment Centre and charged 20-year old Daved Nadon of 20 Cunningham Street, Bruce Mines and 30-year old Michael Bjornaa of no fixed address with an additional count of pointing a firearm.

On the 22nd of October, 2014 where it is alleged the two accused males attended an address on Wellington Street East and forced their way into the residence. The accused were originally charged with one count of pointing a firearm where a gun was held to the victim’s head while the apartment was gone through.

Further investigation has revealed that the two accused had also pointed a firearm at a second victim while inside the home.

Both males appeared in Bail Court on November 7, 2014
