In their fourth meeting this season the Sudbury Wolves played host to the Soo Greyhounds on a short turnaround as both teams played on Saturday night.
The first period seen both the Wolves and Hounds hitting hard but the Soo kept trying to fire on the net but Sudbury players were sacrificing their bodies to block a majority of the shots. On a two on one break Brady Pataki came close on a pass from Kyle Capobianco but Raaymakers would cross the crease to keep the period scoreless.

While Senyshyn was still in the penalty box for Checking to the Head, Blake Speers who was behind the Sudbury’s defence would get a long pass but was stopped by Wolves net minder Troy Timpano. Sudbury bounced right back with another 2 on 1 break and Raaymakers would block Pancel from scoring. Not to be denied when Sudbury’s Jonathan Duchesne was serving a double minor for High Sticking, Guertler would win the draw deep in the Wolves territory and Bunting would jump on the loose puck just three seconds into the first penalty to give the Greyhounds a 1-0 lead.
Nathan Pancel would tie the game for Sudbury on a break out pass. Tolchinsky realized that the Greyhounds had too many men on the ice and started to head to the bench but decided to stay out. While Tolchinsky was in the penalty box Colton White got a Cross Checking penalty which gave the Wolves a 5 on 3 for about 30 seconds. Jenys would score on Raaymakers just after Tolchinsky was out of the box to put Sudbury into the lead by one goal.

With the score Sudbury 2, Soo 1 heading into the third period the Greyhounds had many chances to even the score with Guertler trying to bat the puck in on a high pass and Timpano would slip out the pad and stop Bunting. Desrochers came close for Sudbury on a pass by Jenys while short handed. Raaymakers would head to the bench for the extra attacker with less than two minutes to play in the game.
Dupuy would get the gate for Goaltender Interference at 18:32 and 17 seconds later Capobianco would get called for tripping Tolchinsky. Raaymakers stayed out of the net and when the final buzzer went the score was Sudbury Wolves 2, Soo Greyhounds 1.
