Passed away peacefully to be with his Lord and Saviour at Extendicare Maple View on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the age of 93.
Loving husband of the late Barbara for 57 years. Beloved father of Rod (Joan) and Ellen Purvis (Jack). Grandfather of Katie Alton (Bryan Graham) and Christopher Alton (Donna), Sheila (David Garson) and Scotty Purvis (Laura). Great grandfather of Isaac Purvis, Amos Graham, and the late Elija. Brother of Wilbert (late Valley), Mable Waggler (late Harold) and predeceased by his siblings John (late Wilhelmina), Alice Hill (late George), Margaret McLellan (William), Roy (late (Gladys), Florence Shook (late Alex) and Carl (late Jean). Brother-in-law of Joan Summers “Grama Joey” (late Arnold), late Douglas Dalziel (late Olive). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and special cousins.
Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Sunday, January 4, 2015 from 6 – 9 pm. Funeral Service in the chapel on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 1 pm. Mr. Bruce Cain and Miss Ruth McLellan officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery.
