Halverson named to U.S. National Junior Team Camp Roster

The Soo Greyhounds Hockey Program is proud to announce that goaltender BRANDON HALVERSON was among 29 players named to the 2015 U.S. National Junior Team camp roster earlier this morning.

The camp begins at Walter Brown Arena at Boston University on December 16th with the final roster to be announced by December 24th.

Halverson and Team USA will hit the ice in three pre-tournament games as follows:
December 19 vs Boston University (Walter Brown Arena) – 7 p.m.

December 21 vs Germany (Rogers K-Rock Centre, Kingston ON) – 7 p.m.

December 23 vs Sweden (Rogers K-Rock Centre, Kingston ON) – 7 p.m.

Halverson, from Traverse City MI, is in his second season with the Hounds.
To-date, the 6.04, 188 lb netminder has appeared in 20 games for the Hounds this season compiling a 14-3-0-1 win/loss record with one shutout and a 2.93 GAA and .913 SV%.

He has the 2nd most wins in the OHL.

The final roster will then participate in the 2015 World Junior Hockey Championship (TorontoMontreal) and will see Team USA in Group A among Team Canada, Team Germany, Team Slovakia and Team Finland.

ALL Team USA games in the IIHF World Junior Championship will be televised live on the NHL Network in the U.S. and also streamed live in the U.S. at NHL.com.  NHL Network U.S. will have additional games on as well, but only the Team USA games will be streamed.
