It’s been several years and prices even approached $1.50 a few years ago. Oil and Gas analysts  said we would never see gas prices below a dollar a litre ever again.

But call it a late Christmas present, gas is now selling for 99.9  in Sault Ste. Marie !

The Canadian Tire store was posting prices below a dollar Monday, most others stations have now followed across the city.  The last time pump prices were this low in Sault Ste. Marie was  back in 2009.   Oil prices today are posted as $65 a barrel compared to a year ago when prices were close to $107.

  1. Yeah, it’s bad when it’s low; it’s bad when it’s high; it’s bad when it drops; it’s bad when it rises; it’s bad when it stays the same for too long.
I guess good news is no news.
