Tina Colizza will be raking up some frequent flyer points a lot quicker now that she will be visiting Montreal on a regular basis, that’s because the Sault Ste. Marie business woman and her husband Vince is expanding their local spa and wellness centre to one of Canada’s largest cities.

Colizza owns and operates LIFEForia on Pine Street and has spent the last 15 years defining the idea through various business opportunities prior to opening LIFEForia – a brand that she and her husband has built from the ground up.

“we’ve been open now in Sault Ste. Marie for about four years and it was very much a pilot and we thought it was time to move forward with our expansion plans” Colizza told SaultOnline.com Monday.

“LIFEforia Wellness Clubs & Retreats take the health, fitness and spa services to a whole new level, creating an intimate community of wellness where people are empowered and inspired to live their best life ever,” said Colizza. “Montreal fit very well within where we wanted to be, our vision has always been to become the biggest and largest community of wellness in North America”

LIFEforia Wellness Club & Retreat opened today at Montreal’s West Island area and is conveniently located within the Sheraton Montreal Airport Hotel.  The Wellness Club was conceived and developed by Vince and Tina Colizza and many health industry experts collaborated with the partners for the design. One difference with the Montreal store is that it will cater to both men and women said Colizza.   “We worked very closely with spa consultants like Leslie Lyons and fitness professionals like Theresa Carriere (famous one run marathoner and philanthropist), and top notch interior designers and architects to create a truly marvelous experience that encourages people to become the marvelous people that they are”

The new Montreal store is starting with ten employees but is expected to grow over the next few months.  The Sault location employees 60 people. The couple is also exploring franchises in Northern Ontario. “We’re just learning to walk right now, but we will be running very soon” Colizza said
