The T-Birds would take a 1-0 lead 7:45 into the first courtesy of Zach Senecal’s powerplay goal from Matt Murray and Brendan Gillis. Then just one minute later, Indians forward Brendan MacLaren would tie things up at one on an unassisted goal.
With the twin Soos tied 1-1 after one, it would be Zach Satalino scoring a back handed goal on T-Birds goalie Joey Roberts  just 1:50 in, with assists going to Johnny Pesek and Kristian Jackson. Then on a four minute Indians powerplay, it would be Cole Lussier putting Soo, Michigan up by two at 5:21 with assists going to Brendan MacLaren and Ashton Calder. The Indians would get their fourth a answered goal with just forty nine seconds to go in the second as Zach Satalino got his second of the night from Landon Hubbard and Brendan Miller to give the Michigan, Soo a 4-1 lead after two.
No scoring happened in the final frame as the Soo Indians went on to defeat the T-Birds 4-1. Carleton Boothe recorded the win for the Indians while Joey Roberts was in goal for the T-Birds loss.
The Soo Thunderbirds Midgets will now travel to Marquette, Michigan on Friday, December 5th to Saturday, December 6th for the NMU Showcase.
