The first of two games began yesterday at the NMU Showcase held in Marquette, Michigan as the Soo Thunderbirds Midgets blanked the Marquette Electricians 11-0.
Brad Thrower led the way offensively with five points including a pair of goals and three helpers while Jason Bednarski and Great North Midget League’s second leading scorer Brendan Gillis each had two goals and an assist while Oshawa Generals prospect Zach Senecal also had a three point effort with a goal and two assists. Lucas Miller had a goal and an assist while singles went to Noah Serre along with Shadow Reuban and Holden Brock. Goaltender Joey Roberts picked up the shutout.
