City Police and Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services are currently at a fire scene at the Albert St. W. and Hudson St. area of town. A garage was completely destroyed by the fire and a neighboring house received some damage from the fire. Investigation into the cause of this fire is currently under way and further details will be released at a later time.
ARSON Investigation:
The incident occurred at approximately 02:30am in the 300 block of Albert Street West Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. The arson investigation is still on going and is a joint investigation between the Sault Ste. Marie Police Investigation Services, The Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office. As a result, of the early morning investigation a 17yr old male youth has been charged with Arson and has been remanded into custody appearing in Bail Court on the 22nd of December 2014. The accused received minor injuries as a result of the fire and was treated and released from the Sault Area Hospital.
