Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a motor vehicle collision on January 16, 2015 at approximately 7:50 pm on Highway 17 North at Alona Bay Lookout.
A tractor trailer travelling southbound on Highway 17 collided with several guardrails and a parked vehicle.
Minor injuries were reported to both the transport driver and female driver of the parked vehicle.
The parked vehicle had to be towed.
The driver of the transport truck, 45 year old Christopher POERSCH of Proton Station, ON was charged with Careless Driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario
