A 59 year old male and his dog were found dead following a fire in a mobile home New Year’s eve in Aweres Township.
OPP say they were alerted about the fire from a near by neighbour who saw the mobile home in flames at around 8pm Wednesday night.
The name of the victim is not being released pending notification of next of kin. The fire is not deemed suspicous but the cause of the fire has not been determined. The investigation is on going. A probe of the fire scene was conducted by the Ontario Fire Marshall office.
Sault Fire Services was called to help with the fire along with the Aweres Volunteer Fire Department.
