Miller Time In New York

He spent one season with the Soo Thunderbirds during 2009-2010, three seasons with the Soo Greyhounds from 2010-2013 and now defenseman Colin Miller, who is in his second season with the Manchester Monarchs, made the most of showcasing his skills at the pro level.

The 2015 American Hockey League All Star Skills Competition was held tonight in Utica, New York and the twenty two year old Sault native took home some hardware. Miller led the Eastern Conference All Stars to a 15-11 victory over the Western Conference All Stars along with winning the CCM Hockey Fastest Skater Award coming in at 13.805 seconds and breaking an AHL record for the CCM Hockey Hardest Shot at 105.5 miles per hour.

Heading into this weekend’s all star festivities, the former T-Birds defenseman and Hounds captain currently has 10 goals and 29 points along with 42 points through 37 games played this season with the AHL’s Monarchs.

The 2015 AHL All Star Game presented by Turning Stone Resort and Casino will be played tomorrow night at 7pm ET on Sportsnet from Unica, New York at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.
