Sault Area Hospital will layoff both union and management staff in a round of job cuts affecting over 40 workers.
The cuts will be across the board with nursing positions, non nursing positions , management and non management workers including 35 full time and 7 part time positions.
Members of unions such as Unifor , The Ontario Nurses’ Association and Ontario Public Service Union, OPSEU have been informed of the cuts. The announcement came at the regular SAH Board meeting Monday afternoon.
