With Matt Stefano
After scoring his fourth career NOJHL hat trick in Elliot Lake back on January 4th in a 5-2 win over the Wildcats, Soo Thunderbirds captain Anthony Miller has been named tonight’s first star scoring one goal in a 6-2 win at the Rhodes vs Sudbury.
Matt: How did you guys pan out against your division rivals tonight?
Anthony: I thought we played well. We took a few shifts off and against a team like Sudbury, they will make us pay for it. Overall it’s a big two points and now we focus on tomorrow’s game.
Matt: Did your hat trick vs Elliot Lake on Sunday boost your confidence tonight?
Anthony: All the guys worked hard in the gritty areas to get out in front and we finished all of our opportunities.
Matt: How are you looking ahead to tomorrow afternoon’s game vs Abitibi?
Anthony: It’s going to be a big game. We have to take advantage of Abitibi being on their last game of the 3 in 3 road trip. It’s going to be a battle and we have to come out strong.
