On the 7th of January 2015 at approximately 4:30pm Patrol Services attended the Walmart Store located at 446 Great Northern Road with regards to an adult male shoplifter. It is alleged that the male had taken merchandise from the store without paying for it. Further investigation revealed that the accused was wanted by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service for an outstanding warrant dating back from the 1st of August 2014. Charged with Theft under $5,000, Uttering a Forged Document and Breach of Probation is 32yr old Christopher Moar of 63 Hiawatha Drive Garden River, Ontario. He will appear in court on the 9th of February 2015.
Domestic Dispute
On the 8th of January 2015 at approximately 1:17am officers from Patrol Services attended a west end residence with regards to a domestic dispute. As a result of the investigation a 22yr old female was charged with three counts of breaching her Recognizance by attending the victim’s residence, communicated with the victim and failing to abide by her curfew to remain in her residence between 9pm-7am and one count of breaching her Probation Order by not keeping the peace and being of good behavior. The accused will appear in Bail Court this morning.
