Passed away peacefully on January 1, 2015 at the age of 86, with his family by his side.
Devoted husband of the late Alice. Beloved father of Lynn Reid (Dennis), Jill Hryniewicz (Steve), Sharon Gernon (Robert) of Unionville ON, and Dennis McNeil of Reno, Nevada. Adored papa of Vanessa, Marnie, Sheri, Karen, Julie, Krista, Claudia, Corry, Hali, Derek and Jason and 14 great grandchildren. Special companion of Verna Caple. He is remembered by his brother Alex Standen (Gabriella) and many family and friends in England. Cherished brother-in-law of James Mosley (late Joyce) and family of Arnprior, ON. Special uncle to John Sargent (Margaret) of Elliot Lake.

Eric was a talented mechanic, carpenter, and electrician. We will be forever grateful for the welcoming home he built for his family that included his beautiful garden and pool. Papa was a kind and gentle soul and we will miss him.
