The Soo Thunderbirds midgets wrapped up their opening weekend of 2015 today at the Rhodes against the Marquette Electricians. It was the second meeting in two days between these two teams and after the Soo defeated them 9-4 at the Rankin yesterday morning, the T-Birds came out on top 8-0 over the Electricians this afternoon at John Rhodes.
Cameron Elsby and Matt MacKay led the way with two goals and an assist while Lucas Millar also had a three point afternoon with a goal and two helpers. Braydon Marlow picked up the shutout for the Soo.
Next action for the T-Bird midgets will be January 7th, when they travel to Soo, Michigan to take on the Soo Indians at 7:00.
