The Soo Thunderbirds midgets played their first game of the Shattuck St. Mary’s Tournament Friday night in Shattuck, Minnesota dropping a 2-1 decision to Omaha.
Brad Thrower tallied the only goal for the Soo while Joey Roberts was in goal for the loss. Tournament action continues for the Soo Saturday in Shattuck before wrapping things up on Sunday.
