For the first time since sweeping them in the NMU Showcase in Marquette, Michigan back in December, the Soo Thunderbirds Midgets were in action at 10am this morning to welcome the Marquette Electricians to the Soo.
The Thunderbirds defeated the Electricians 9-4 with Matt MacKay leading the way with three goals and one assist along with Ryan Mulligan who also had a four point morning with a goal and three helpers.
The T-Birds will resume league action tonight for the first game of 2015 as they take on the North Bay Trappers at 6:00 from the John Rhodes.
