On January 12, 2015 at 10:40 am officers from the Superior East Wawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a Theft of gas from a White River business. A description of the suspect auto and driver were provided to all Superior East OPP members. The motor vehicle was located travelling Southbound on Highway 17 and subsequently stopped near a local Wawa business.
Investigation led to the arrest of Jordan Lynn MCCONNELL (23) of British Columbia.
The accused stands charged with the following offences,
– Adult Possession of Property obtained by Crime Under $5000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
– Adult Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 contrary to section 354 (1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
– Adult Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle contrary to section 249 (1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
– Adult Theft Under $5000 contrary to section 334 (b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
– Adult Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking contrary to section 145 (5.1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
– Adult Possession of a Schedule II substance under 30 grams contrary to section 4 (1) of the Control Drug and Substance Act of Canada.
The male was held for a Bail Hearing in Sault Ste Marie Ontario on Tuesday January 13, 2015.
