A CP train left the tracks yesterday morning forcing the OPP to close a portion of Highway 17 near Nipigon when 22 cars derailed.
Highway 17 closed between the 11/17 junction and is expected to re-open sometime today.
CP rail reports that at 11:22am and eastbound train carrying propane and crude oil derailed however no leaks have been found. The highway was closed as a precaution.
The Transportation Safety Board said it is sending two investigators. They are expected to arrive on Wednesday morning.
