On the 24th of January 2015 at approximately 7:23pm officers from Patrol Services attended a downtown residence with regards to a family dispute. Investigation revealed that the individual police were dealing with had consumed alcohol and was on an Undertaking with a condition not to consume alcohol. Charged with breaching her Undertaking issued by an Officer in Charge and Breach of Probation for not keeping the peace and being of good behavior is 41 year old Laura Williams of 452 Wellington Street East Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. She will appear in WASH Court later this morning, the 25th of January 2015.
Breach of Probation
On 25th of January 2015 at approximately 1:27am officers were conducting the RIDE Program in the area of McNabb and South Market Street. Officers had an occasion to stop a motor vehicle. The driver was recognized by the officers as being wanted by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service for an outstanding warrant. Further, the accused was on a Probation Order to notify change of address, the accused failed to do so. As a result, 55 year old Victor Murray DUFFIELD of 141 Wilcox Avenue Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario was charged with breach of an Undertaking issued by an Officer in Charge and Breach of Probation. The accused will appear in Court on the 2nd of March 2015.
