Vehicle and Wallet Stolen

Stolen Vehicle

On the 24th of January a homeowner in the west end of the city reported the theft of his 2009 GMC Sierra pickup. In this incident the owner left the keys for the vehicle in the vehicle. The vehicle was recovered on the 26th of January and was fortunately not damaged. Items taken from the vehicle included tool, a maintenance battery pack, a 750W booster pack and a maintenance air compressor. Unfortunately the keys to the vehicle were not recovered.
On the 24th of January a vehicle was entered on Douglas Street between 2 am and 3 am. The vehicle had been unlocked and a purse and contents were taken.

On the 25th of January between 11 am and 6 pm a vehicle parked in the downtown area had the front passenger window smashed out. A wallet with contents was taken from the vehicle.
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would like to remind residents not to leave items of value or keys in their vehicles.

On the 24th of January a homeowner on Fourth Line West had his Airens Deluxe snowblower, orange in colour, removed from the car port. It is believed that the theft occurred sometime between 2:30 am and 11 am.
