Passed away suddenly, at the Sault Area Hospital, on January 31, 2015 at the age of 71.
Lovingly remembered by his children Troy (Nicole), Trevor, Ryan (Marcie) and Tanya (Shawn). Papa Joe to his loving grandchildren, Keith Maitland, Matt Aikens, Rolly Lariviere, Danni Lynn Aikens, Christoffer Aikens-Hunt, Trey Aikens, Talon Aikens, Shailynne Aikens-Hunt, Raistlin Aikens and Alexander Aikens. Son of the late Leo and Freda Aikens. Joseph was brother to the late Betty, Joan and Julie, and is survived by Rosemarie, Frederica, John, Blake, Jamie, Wilfred, Lisa, Shairl and Adelle. Joseph was also a caring uncle to many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at the SAH ICU Dept.
In lieu of flowers donations in Joseph’s memory would be appreciated by the family, and can be made payable in trust to O’Sullivan Funeral Home.
Family and friends may call at O’Sullivan Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (Corner of Cathcart and St. James), on Friday February 6, 2015 from 5:30pm-7:30pm with service to follow in the chapel. Burial with a graveside service in the spring at Mountain Cemetery, St. Josephs Island will be announced at a later date.
