SaultOnline.com has learned that former Mayor Jim McIntrye was killed in the incident on Bay Street Wednesday.
Sault Ste. Marie Police were called to a scene at a downtown hotel on Bay Street at around 11:45am Wednesday in regards to a elder man being struck by a loader.
Fire fighters and paramedics attempted to revive the man however he succumbed to his injuries
McIntyre served as Mayor from 1960-1964
Very sad.
