On January 31st 2015 police were called to the Manitou Motel at 1279 Wellington St East for a male with a hammer pounding at a door. Investigation revealed that the accused was upset with his neighbors and had damaged their door. Charged with Mischief under $5000 is 49 year old Dennis Swanson of 1279 Wellington St East.
Impaired
On January 31st at approximately 11:00 p.m. police checked a snow machine driving on Everett St. Investigation revealed that the operator was impaired by alcohol. He was arrested and during the arrest he assaulted a police officer. Once at the station he refused to provide a breath sample. Charged with impaired driving, fail to provide sample, assault police and breach of probation is 42 year old Wendell Mckay of Parliament St. He will appear in court on March 9 2015.
