Three local teams have advanced to the semi-finals of the NOSSA Curling Championship being held in North Bay.
Both the Superior Heights boys team, who defeated Bruyere Secondary School by a score of 8-3 after 6 ends and the White Pines boys team who defeated Widdifield by a score of 8-2, have advanced to the semi-finals. Both teams will face opponents that they were defeated by on day one with White Pines playing St. Charles and Superior Heights playing Lockerby.
The Korah girls have also advanced as a result of their 8-6 extra end win over Algonquin Tuesday night. They will face Widdifield in the semis.
All semi-final action will be played at 11 on Wednesday.
The Superior Heights girls finished the first day with a record of 1-2 and will be playing in the Consolation Round.
