The 2015 Ontario Regional Synchronized Skating Championship drew sparse crowds to the Essar Centre but delivered in a spectacle on ice as teams of 20 skaters perform as a harmonized unit at high rates of speed.
Over 500 athletes from all over Ontario competed for the opportunity to represent Ontario at the 2015 Skate Canada Synchronized Skating Championship later this month in Quebec City. The competition was free to the public but the extreme cold weather may have kept spectators at home during the final days of the Bon Soo Winter Carnival that wrapped up Sunday.
