Extensive Damage in East End House Fire

An early morning fire caused extensive damage to the back side of a house in Huntington Park Saturday.

Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at the scene tells SaultOnline.com that the fire started around 8am. It was quickly contained by Sault Fire Services with three pumper trucks dispatched to the scene.

According to fire services, a shed at the back of the house is where the fire originated from but flames shot up the back of the house and into the second floor and attic.  No one was hurt in the incident.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.

Along with emergency crews, the PUC were also called.
