The good news, we probably won’t see much snow from a disturbance moving into the area as previously thought. the bad news, we will probably see a period of freezing rain.
Ice build-up due to freezing rain is expected or occurring.
A low pressure system will bring snow, ice pellets and freezing rain to the regions beginning tonight. General snow amounts of 2 to 5 cm are expected before the change to ice pellets and freezing rain, although some regions may see higher snow amounts. A prolonged period of freezing rain is expected and will continue Friday for most regions. Freezing rain should end Friday night or early Saturday morning.
