Greyhounds Fly Past Windsor

With only two games left in the regular season the Greyhounds went into the game with fire and took down Windsor by a score of 12 to 1.
The Greyhounds scored twice on the first two shots on Windsor’s goaltender Brendan Johnston.

Darnell Nurse banked the first goal off the end boards with the puck hitting Johnston in the arm and then went in.

Bryan Moore would get the second goal on the second shot on goal.

Nick Ritchie would add to the Greyhounds’ lead on the 5th shot on goal to make the score 3 to 0 for the Greyhounds.

Slater Doggett would get the lone goal for Windsor at 7:05 but Ritchie would again put the lead back to three just 40 seconds later. 
 
There was no other scoring in the remaining 12 minutes of the first period and at the end of the first period the Greyhounds led the Spitfires by a score of 4 to 1.
 
The second period had the Greyhounds score 5 times with just 8 shots on goal.

Jean Dupuy would get the first marker of the period just before half way through and then Anthony DeAngelo would add another marker at 10:51.

Blake Speers, Sergey Tolchinsky and Jared McCann where the other goal scorers in the period and when the second period came to a close the score was 9 to 1 in favor of the Soo.
 
Spitfires’ Alex Fotinos replaced Johnston in net for the Spitfires but Fortinos could not stop the score fest by the Greyhounds with the first shot of the third period by Blake Speers going in to put the Greyhounds score in the double digits.

DeAngelo and Tolchinsky would round out the scoring in the third period with both getting their second tallies of the night for a final score of 12 to 1 for the Greyhounds. 
 
After the game players from both sides shook hands as it was the Spitfires’ last game for the 2014/15 season.
 
Next action for the Greyhounds is Sunday at 2:07 where the Soo hosts the visiting Kitchener Rangers.
