The Korah Colts took to the court beating Timmins on Day 2 of Boys Basketball OFSAA “AA” for their second win.
Korah had a slight lead at the end of the first quarter leading by 3 points but managed to pull ahead a couple more points by the end of the first half leading Timmins by a score of 30 to 25.
Timmins managed to close the gap in the third quarter sinking 13 points compared to Korah’s 10.  Korah turned up the heat in the fourth quarter counting 20 points while holding Timmins to 3 and the final score at the end of the game was Korah – 60, Timmins – 41.
Korah’s second game of the day was against Jean Vanier in the Championship Quarter Final.  The first quarter seen Korah score 11 to Jean Vanier’s 8.  Korah continued to dominate the court by adding 20 more points in the second quarter and at the end of the half the score was Korah – 31 Jean Vanier – 21.
Continuing the pressure Korah kept control of the game for the second half scoring 23 in the third quarter and adding another 14 points in the fourth quarter to give Korah their win with a score of 68 to 64 for Korah over Jean Vanier.
The Korah Colts will now play St. Francis in the Championship Semi Finals.
Superior Heights was 9 points shy of a tie losing to Maple by a score of 60 to 51.  There are no details on the scoring for the quarters from OFSAA.
In the Consolation Round 1/4 finals Superior Heights were held to only 37 points while Adam Scott scored 47.
The first quarter only seen Superior Heights scoring 6 and only managed to score 7 points in the second half for a total of 13 compared to a total of 23 for Adam Scott.
Superior Heights rebounded in the third quarter scoring 13 while holding off Adam Scott for 3, but Adam Scott came back hard in the fourth quarter to score 21 and Superior Heights could only score  11.
