The Roger’s Hometown Hockey Tour hit the Sault for three days and as Mayor Provenzano stated, it was the best stop on the tour.
Sunday proved to be the best day. It had live entertainment, give-a-ways, and the announcement of the Cheer Like Never Before winner, which turned out to be Direct Mechanical Hounds. They will now advance to the regionals and hopefully the national final. The teams that participated can be seen, and heard at the following link, http://www.hometownhockey.com/events/177/entries
Xboxes were given away and there was also a Hotstove League with host Jennifer Botterill and guests Marty Turco and Steve Sullivan.
The night ended with pre-game show where Ron McLean showed some of the hockey history that our city possesses, including the Memorial Cup win, Phil and Tony Esposito, Wayne Gretzky, Ron Francis, and so much more.
