A Sault Ste. Marie based restaurant continues its expansion in Ontario, this time to Thunder Bay.

Wacky Wings, started as Wing Nuts when Craig and Damon Burgess began their newest venture in 2007 with a location on Lake Street. A year later, the name was changed to Wacky Wings.

Craig and Damon’s plans are to build Wacky Wings Eatery & Beverage Co. restaurants in communities all across Ontario and Canada. Their growth plans include both franchised locations as well as corporate stores developed with unique partnership opportunities., says their website.

On Monday, Thunder Bay council unanimously approved zoning for Wacky Wing’s 8th Ontario location. The restaurants have popped up in Timmins, Mississauga, Sudbury, North Bay and Brantford in the past few years.

If all goes as planned, their newest restaurant will be more than 5,000 square feet and employ about 100 people. It’s scheduled to open in about 6 months according to Thunder Bay news sites.

  1. Yet another restaurant aimed at contributing to the behind-the-scenes inhumane treatment of animals. Yay, just what this world needs.

  2. Loads of spelling and grammar mistakes can really ruin an article for me.. I’m fine with being THAT person… The grammar Nazi. But come on, am I the only one that thinks a final proof read goes along way??
