After defeating the New Liskeard Cubs 4-2 Saturday night in game 1 of the Great North Midget League finals, the Soo Thunderbirds midgets were looking to put a stranglehold lead in game 2 at the Don Shepherdson Memorial Arena.
The T-Birds dropped a 3-1 decision tonight which tied the series up at one game a piece. Gabriel Rheault notched a pair of goals for the Cubs along with Cameron Moore on the power play. Brendan Gillis had the lone tally for the Soo.
Joey Roberts was in goal for the loss.
