Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services and EMS were called to the Second Hand World location downtown Monday morning for a medic assist.
Bystanders tell SaultOnline.com that an unidentified man was found laying near the entrance to the business in poor condition across a snow covered parking barrier. A bystander stated that when medics arrived the older man was non responsive, “his face was purple”. It appeared as he had just come from Walmart in the Station Mall as there was a shopping cart found next to him.
SaultOnline was told that Paramedics worked on the male at the scene for some time before he was finally taken by ambulance.
Sault Ste. Marie Police are now investigating the incident. The Forensic Unit is now on location and it is believed the coroner has also been called in for the investigation.
