Sault Ste. Marie Mayor Christian Provenzano made a special visit to students in the grade 7/8 class at St. Francis French Immersion yesterday.
The Mayor met with the students to support their entry in a Parks Canada Contest. The students have created a video promoting the Sault Canal National Historic Site. They hope to win the grand prize in the ‘Canada’s Coolest School Trip’ contest.
The winning class will explore the natural beauty of La Mauricie National Park and experience the rich history of Québec City’s national historic sites, including Lévis Forts, the Fortifications, Saint-Louis Forts and Châteaux, Montmorency Park, the Québec Garrison Club and Artillery Park Heritage Site.
