Rallies are being held across Canada today (Thursday) to protest the innocent verdict handed down in March in the murder of Cindy Gladue, mother of two. The events have the support of Amnesty International, Idle no More, and the Institute for the Advancement of Aboriginal Women.
An Edmonton jury of nine men and two women found Bradley Barton not guilty of first degree murder and manslaughter on March18th. Outrage over the verdict has brought people together to protest the verdict and ask that the crown seek a new trial.
