Sault College is putting its best foot forward to make a lasting impression on hundreds of potential applicants and their families from Sault Ste. Marie and around the province as it prepares its annual Discover Sault – Open House on Saturday, April 11th beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Discover Sault allows prospective students and their families to check out the campus for the first time as they make the important decision on where to attend College. Friendly and knowledgeable faculty, staff and academic coordinators will be available to answer program-specific questions and provide campus tours of academic spaces. Service providers from across the College will provide useful information to establish a level of comfort to those leaving home from the first time, and a “money matters” session will give new students a chance to learn valuable tips on accessing the $1.8 million in financial aid that is available to them while studying at Sault College.

Applicants and families visiting from other areas of the province and country will have a chance to tour the Sault College campus, residence and the aviation hangar at the airport. Plus, local recreational businesses will be at the College to fill visitors in on the exciting things students can do to unwind on their days off.

“This is our chance to showcase the strength of our programming and services, both of which are crucial to parents and students considering where to attend college. We want to highlight our spectacular location surrounded by the beauty of our region and our proximity to both an impressive ski hill and an international border. What we offer is sure to make a lasting impression on those who travel here and we plan to showcase why we are the right choice for a growing number of students,” says Susan Hunter, Director, External Relations.

Registration is now open, so prospective students are encouraged to visit www.saultcollege.ca/openhouse to reserve a spot for at Sault College’s most anticipated event of the year.

Light refreshments will be served throughout the day and a delicious lunch will be provided free-of-cost. In addition, students will have the opportunity to confirm their offer of admission on campus if they have not already done so. Prospective students will need to confirm their application by May 1st to reserve their spot in a program.
