On 16 April 2015 at 5pm, 27 year old Keith Hazzard of Searchmont attended at a local grocer. Once inside the store he selected two packages of spoons and one pair of scissors with a total value of $37.27, concealed them and went past the cashiers making no effort to pay for them. Hazzard then went to the washroom where he utilized the equipment that he stole to inject intravenous drugs prior to fleeing the scene.
On the 23 April 2015, Keith Hazzard was located and arrested for theft under. Hazzard will appear in court on May 25.
On April 23, 2015 Sault Ste Marie Police investigated a complaint of domestic assault. Officers learned that a female had been assaulted by a 23 year old male who she had been in a past relationship with. The female received minor injuries and did not need medical attention. The accused has been charged with one count of domestic assault and will appear in bail court on April 24.
