Searchmont Seeks a New General Manager

Searchmont Ski Association Inc. (SSAI) is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the position of General Manager.
Located 48 km north of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Searchmont Resort is a premiere ranked,
regional training and recreation facility with high quality mountain terrain, amenities, events
and entertainment.

Below is a summary of the position, with essential duties covering the areas of Operations,
Guest Services, Human Resources, Financial Management, Project Management,
Communications, and Management.

The General Manager is in charge of and responsible for the operation of the entire facility. It is
his/her responsibility to staff the operation properly, ensure that all policies and procedures are
observed, meet financial responsibilities as laid out in the operating budget, and ensure that
exemplary customer service is provided by every employee to all of Searchmont’s members and
guests.

The General Manager is instrumental in developing and/or implementing strategies, events,
and programs designed to improve the facility’s products and services as well as its competitive
position in the marketplace.

The General Manager coordinates all management functions of the operation and works in
concert with SSAI Board committee chairs on the development of proposed policies, programs,
events, etc.
