We’ve all heard how bad a winter it has been, and though the signs of Spring has started to show, Old Man Winter is in no hurry to leave apparently.
Take Wawa for example, they might see up to 15cm of snow today and are currently in a winter storm alert.
The snow, which may be heavy at times, is expected to begin this evening or overnight and continue through Friday.
In addition, strong and gusty north to northwest winds will likely result in some local blowing snow.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
Winter weather is sticking around at least for one more day in the Sault as well.
Though no warnings or alerts have been issued, the Sault will see strong northerly winds and light snow develop into Friday. No major accumulation is expected, but there will be blowing snow to deal with. It’s not all bad new, this weekend we will likely climb to positive double digits and sun by Sunday!
