3 Games, 3 Shutouts

In High School soccer the Junior and Senior Girls hit the field for three games and in all the games the winner shut out the other team.

The first game had the Junior Girls from St. Mary’s go up against Korah. The Knights would jump into the lead in the first half with one goal and then add three more goals in the second half while shutting out the Colts. With only one game left for each team to play before the playoffs, the Knights will go up against the Steel Hawks on Sunday and the Colts will play against the Steel Hawks on Tuesday.

In Senior Girls action, St. Mary’s Knights scored one goal in each of the halves to down the Korah Colts 2 to 0. The last of the season games for the Knights is on Sunday when they will meet the Saints while the Colts will kick off against the Steel Hawks on Sunday also.

The final game for the night had the St. Basil Saints shut out the White Pines Wolverines 1 – 0. The Wolverines finished with one point for a tie with the Colts and will head to the final playoffs.

The Senior Boys will be on the Superior Heights field for two games Saturday morning and the Junior Boys will have their two games starting at 5:00 pm.
