After a whole week of seemingly endless science, the Science Festival in the Sault has been deemed a great success. Saturday, was a day long community event where families had the opportunity to participate in several, engaging, fun and very hands-on science and technology activities. There was no admission fee.
This event was expected to involve over 20 exhibitions, presenters, collaborators, especially from Sault Ste. Marie organizations, labs and attractions showcasing local and global science concepts and engineering principals.
Entertainment such as buskers, and face painting created a festive and energizing atmosphere.
Eva DeBoer, from Entomica, stated that it would be held again next year.
