On the afternoon of May 13, 2015 patrol officers responded to a report of a break and enter to a residence in the 800 block of Second Line West. Investigation revealed that suspects forced entry into the residence and rummaged through all the rooms of the house. Jewelry, cash and electronics were reported stolen.
On the afternoon of May 13, 2015 patrol officers responded to a local business in the north end of the city regarding a shoplifter. As a result of the investigation 36yr old Cindy MORISSETTE of John Street was arrested and charged with Theft Under $5000. It is alleged that MORISSETTE left the store with food items she did not pay for. At the time of the incident MORISSETTE was serving a Conditional Sentence in the community after being convicted for similar offences. As a result of her actions, she breached conditions of that order. She will be appearing in Bail Court May 14, 2015.
On the evening of May 13, 2015 patrol officers responded to reports of a male and female arguing in a residence in the north end of the city. As a result of their investigation, a 37yr old male was arrested and charged with assaulting his spouse. It is alleged that during the argument the accused assaulted the female causing non-life threatening injuries that required medical attention. He will be appearing in Bail Court May 14, 2015.
