Sault Police Arrest

On May 12th City Police were called to a disturbance to a downtown Macs Mart at approximately 8:30 p.m. Investigation revealed that two females stole chips, gum and pepperettes. They also were willfully damaging products in the store by opening and consuming items as well as throwing product from the shelves onto the floor.

As a result, 22 year old Jade Shawanda and 18 year old Sidney Shaganash, both of 150 Sweetgrass St. in Garden River were charged with Theft under $5,000 and Mischief. Shawanda was also on Probation to Keep the Peace and be good and was charged with breaching that condition as well. Both women will be appearing in Provincial Court June 15th.
