Emergency Preparedness Showcased May 9th

EP Week 2015

(Sault Ste. Marie, ON) May 4-9 is Emergency Preparedness Week. The public is invited to visit the Emergency Preparedness Showcase taking place May 9 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Walmart – Great Northern Road location.

EP Week 2015The event will feature a firefighter obstacle course, project lifesaver demos, and useful first aid tips. Enjoy a BBQ (by donation), free give-a-ways, and draws for 72-hr emergency kits. There will be plenty for kids to see and do – come out and meet your emergency response partners and learn how to ensure your family’s safety in the event of an emergency.

If you can’t attend the Showcase, visit saultstemarie.ca/beprepared to enter the contest to win a 72-hr emergency kit, and get the information you need to prepare yourselves, your family and your pets.

Emergencies can happen anywhere, anytime. During an emergency, response agencies focus their efforts first where the need is greatest – that is why individual emergency preparedness is so important.
