It’s going to feel downright “Fall like” for parts of the district. Following a cold front that crossed the area Friday, cool air is settling in prompting Environment Canada to issue a Frost Warning for parts of the north. Though Sault Ste. Marie is not included in the watch area, temperatures will still dip to a chilly 3c overnight.
Frost Advisory in effect for:
Agawa – Lake Superior Park
Searchmont – Montreal River Harbour – Batchawana Bay
Light winds and relatively clear skies will allow ground temperatures to drop down to near or a few degrees below freezing overnight tonight and early Sunday morning.
Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.
Weather Advisories for Frost are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
